Meet your league commissioners - Kerry & Darren DeSpain.

Proud Queen Creek residents, Kerry & Darren previously founded and operated East Valley Flag Football in Gilbert. After a few years away, we are excited to return and launch a new Youth Flag Football league right here in Queen Creek - with a renewed vision focused on player development, community connection, and opportunity for athletes.

🏈 Darren DeSpain brings over a decade of coaching experience in youth flag football, 7-on-7, and tackle football. A former quarterback for powerhouse Los Altos High School (CA), Darren won a Southern Section CIF Championship and earned All-CIF and All L.A. Times Quarterback honors. He has recently led his 8th-grade tackle team to back-to-back championships and continues a family legacy of football excellence, coaching alongside his father, Dwayne DeSpain, a 7-time CIF Champion and Hall of Fame coach.

πŸ”₯ Kerry DeSpain brings 8 years of league commissioner and operations experience, along with a strong background in business, branding, and marketing. She oversees league operations, communication, and strategy β€” ensuring Desert Blaze Football runs smoothly, professionally, and with a family-first approach.

Together, Kerry and Darren are committed to creating a high-quality, positive, and exciting youth flag football experience for families in Queen Creek β€” including coed divisions and a dedicated ALL-GIRLS flag football program.

We’re honored to lead this league and can’t wait to see you on the field. Welcome to Desert Blaze Football. πŸ”₯🏈
