• Your behavior sets the tone for the entire team—players are always watching.
• Demonstrate respect, patience, and positivity, both on and off the field.
• Model teamwork, perseverance, and good sportsmanship in every situation.
• Referees are in place to ensure safety and fairness.
• All coaches must treat referees with courtesy and professionalism.
• Complaints about calls should be addressed after the game, respectfully and privately.
• Show respect to players, parents, other coaches, and volunteers at all times.
• Encourage positive interaction among players and families.
• Discourage negative or unsportsmanlike behavior from your team.
• Every player deserves the opportunity to participate, learn, and grow.
• Coaches must strive to provide balanced playing time, especially during the regular season.
• Avoid favoritism; no child should feel left out or discouraged from playing.
• Safety is the first priority—follow league rules and flag football guidelines.
• Encourage fair play, teamwork, and personal development over “winning at all costs.”
• Communicate with parents and league staff professionally and promptly when needed.
• Be a mentor, leader, and ambassador for Desert Blaze Football.
• Inspire kids to have fun, try their best, and demonstrate good character.
• Remember, you are not just coaching a sport—you are shaping future leaders.
Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in:
• Verbal warning
• Suspension from coaching or games
• Removal from the league
